New beginnings and directions

After the collaborative project with UEA I have decided to focus my studies more on the issue of body image and the idea of censorship over natural anatomy. I wanted to create something bad ass that would make people feel empowered and ease them into how a natural body looks like without the touch of media. This project is a continuum to my last unit and will be mostly focusing over observation and photography.

I was very inspired by Justin Bartels's imagery of marks which are lest by underwear marks. I thought it was an amazing representation of modern restriction. His collection called Impression is a beatiful example of how we can contort our bodies , minds and soul
