The Hidden Feminine Project

Dorina’s pieces question the viewer whether it is right to censor what nature has created. Encouraging gender equality by challenging the idea of what is acceptable for the public to view and what’s not. Although the pieces are of flowers, which are often associated with femininity, they have “hidden” genitals photoshopped onto them to show the unrealistic contrast of what’s acceptable for a woman to show and what’s not in today’s society. We are all created by nature and are beautiful. We are all different and unique. Her practice comments on the fact that we are all made by nature, and should not be shamed by society if we bare to show it all.
